It may have been a lot different during the peak period, but we had no issues at all. We saw no-one fighting for sunbeds, but did scope out the pool just across from the main one and spent most of our days there, with a fab group of people we met. The view from the pool bar was amazing! You could see the trees across the other side of the road and a fab view of the sea - really pretty. Yes, it was more than a touch dated, but immaculately clean and all in good working order - the air con was immense! We checked out the pool bar and met Erica, the main staff member on the bar and she was fabulous (no sighn of the lifeguard lurking)!!! The drinks were standard for an all inclusive in Greece - local beer (very nice), local spirits and even a few decent cocktails - I've been to some AI's in Europe where ALL cocktails are chargeable, so this was a nice change. Our room was on the level below receoption and had a Garden View. Upon arrival (mid afternoon) we found the lobby area to be absolutely spotless and reception staff were very welcoming, they even got one of the members of staff to collect my case and show us to our room! They advised us that we had missed lunch, but snacks were available at the pool bar. Also, don't forget that Greece is one of the poorer EU countries and relies heavily on tourism for income - of which they have missed out on for the past 2 years. If you're looking for luxury with a mainly 'Brit' menu of burger and chips, and the comforts of home then go to a huge high rise in Spain, or pay that bit more for higher rated hotel. A 3* in Greece is not the same as a 3* in Spain. Please remember that Greece is, and always has been, about family, simplicity and culture. I will try to cover as much as possible in the review, but it does seem to me that some had some very high expectations. Well, where do I start? After booking this holiday at the start of this year and checking over the reviews on the build-up, I must be honest and say that I REALLY did not want to go on holiday! What a wonderful surprise we had when it was nowhere near as bad as previous reviewers had said. Hotels near Dassia Ski Club Watersports Corfu.Hotels near The Corfu Mountainbike Shop.
